A ‘Promise Present’ was given as a Christmas present to my younger son.
We were so caught up with negotiating a complete overhaul in our bathroom (including replacing a rotten floor) as well as hosting numerous workshops at the Chapel Gallery, I didn’t have time to knit a ‘bright green jumper’ as was the request.
Needless to say I couldn’t source just the right kind of green that the boy wanted in 100% natural wool. So I went for ecru aran weight blue faced leicester wool. The wool is very soft and kind on the skin and I could dye it being 100% natural fibres. (In an earlier post you can read of my dyeing fun.)
Here is the finished garment.
I knitted it on 4mm and 5mm needles and it took around 8 days from start to finish.
I’m busy getting ready for spring. Here’s a sneak peak of something in the making.
It *must* be around the corner soon… pretty please.
Coming soon a FREE tutorial to make your very own springtime table runner.
So keep a look out
