I’ve been absent a while, I know. Sorry about that.
Let me explain… my macbook had a problem with it’s keyboard. Only selected keys would work and once the spacebar has ceased to respond I had no way to write blogs or keep you up to date. Thankfully, I have a lovely man that can (and did) sort it for me and took the said macbook in for repair. And… as the saying goes, here we are. Back in business.
So onto current things. I have lots to share – commissions, kits, exhibitions, workshops, Yarndale.
Oh, where to begin?
Here’s some felt from the workshops
Then we had sheep and stags too:
Oh so many wonderful things have been made during the workshops.
Next, my favourite, the gentle art of batik with fibre reactive dyes… yum.
I’d forgotten just how much I love the way dyes just sparkle and shimmer when they are put onto silk fibres.
And once the dyes have dried new colours and unexpected colours shine through.
Aren’t the colours delicious? I think so.
And finally – a sneak preview into the pieces I’m creating in readiness of my exhibition at the Chapel Gallery, Hawes between 16th August and 5th September 2013 and for the stall I shall have at Yarndale on 28th-29th September 2013 in Skipton.
I do hope you like the ideas and pictures. There are plenty of workshops I’m teaching at that have places available at Chapel Gallery, Hawes if you are in the area and fancy joining in. You can either book via the website, over the phone or in person.
Anyway – plenty to keep me busy for the next few weeks. I shall keep you posted on new makes and finished pieces now my trusty mac is back!
Take care & keep enjoying the sunshine we’re getting this summer. Bliss.
