It is amazing how quickly a week can whizz by.
Why, just last week I was in the thick of Yarndale and had a whale of a weekend!
This weekend, I’m sitting gently enjoying a coffee and a biscuit in the Chapel Gallery, Hawes.
I have managed a little knitting and a little reorganisation of the Chapel Gallery, unpacked kits and sorted my quilts.
Now I turn to the request from customers to turn more of my redwork designs into kits, the Madbird Stained Glass Hanging into a pattern and instructions for my Mr Fox Softie too, as well as a wildlife cushion commission.
I do love having something to get me teeth into, and I always have fiddlesome fingers, so that little lot should keep me out of mischief for a day or two.
At the entrance to the Gallery I have some pretty troughs that my Mum planted up for me at the beginning of the summer. Amazingly they are still flowering. Look.
And then I noticed these wonderfully architectural leaves
And right next to these, growing in a crevice, was this little beauty
These leaves have given me an idea for patchwork and quilting shapes…. In time maybe.
I’ve plenty on my plate already I think.
I wonder what you are up to this weekend? Enjoying the time to move a little slower or too busy to think? My husband and eldest are playing their weekend away as the The Anything Goes Orchestra at a variety of musical events in Sheffield and the youngest is keeping me company (when he’s not Xboxing).
Whatever you are doing I hope you are enjoying yourself.
Until next time, take care,
Anne
